Problem with texts in french

Hi,

I have a problem with the french letters é è ê à ù û î that disapear as soon as I open rtf files with any Word of Windows or Writer of Openoffice.org
Is it a problem of UTF-8 in place of ISO-8859-1 ?
How can I manage ?

Hi,

I just tested an rtf file with diacritics made in LibreOffice 3.5.3 and I have no problems reading it in Transcript.
Maybe you can send me a small example rtf file which gives problems then I can see what the problem is.
